Newton Abbot Community Tree Textile Patch, co-designed by Joe Webster and Catherine West

Make your own version of the Newton Abbot Community Tree with 'graffiti stitch!' Large cotton fabric piece printed with the design that inspired the street art mural in Newton Abbot. Joe Webster and Catherine West collaborated on the design. It is a graphic treatment of one of Joe's painting earlier paintings superimposed on a historic photo from the Newton Abbot Museum collections. The piece has been created with the idea of being 'graffiti stitched' (free motion embroidery) to make throw cushions of framed textile art.
