We need to maintain a healthy supply of sewing machine needles for workshops and projects so it's only sensible we help you to as well. Many sewing machines issues are down to an old needle. Most sewists don't seem to know that you are supposed to change the needle with every 8 hours of sewing completed. Like other sharps they dull with use. If they hit a pin, they are prone to tiny dinks and weaken. Regular refreshing reduces the risk of one breaking in your work, or worse, flying at you as it snaps. Using the right needle for your fabric and thread also greatly improves both the finished item and the sewing experience.
